I am looking for location in pike or bullock county alabama that was called Darbys. My great great grandfather benjamin stripling moved there before 1870. My great great grandfather was living already in Perote in bullock county (madison pool). The communities probably not that far apart as my great grand parents got together. Also ancestory says madison pool was buried at Linwood. Is that a cemetery or a small community? Any help would be appreciated. Please and thank you!

I also have family that was from the Perote community. The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church is in the Linwood Community, but is considered Troy, Alabama. The same can be said for the Mt. Pleasant Church and The New Mt Pleasant Church in the Linwood Community. The two latter churches mentioned are not very far apart. They are all on County (Pike) Road 6600. I have attended burials in the cemetery at county road 6600 and 6602. A historical marker was placed at the site in 2010. Please look on HMdb.org for more information. It is not to say that Linwood, AL cemetery does not exist, but I am not aware of its existence. Hope this helped!
