P. G. MATHIS DIES SUNDAY MORNING
 
      Mr. P. G. Mathis, died at his home on baker Street early Sunday morning after
an illness of several years. Mr. Mathis moved here from Elba about twenty years ago
where he was an engineer for the Pea River Power Company. For several years he served as
Justice of The Peace here.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Mathis, one son, Gordon Mathis of Elba; and three
daughters, Mrs. Charles Brunson of this city, Mrs. Robert A. Williams, and Mrs. Nita Mathis Brewer,
both of Montgomery.
     Funeral services were held from the Foreman Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the
Rev. R. P. Cochran, Pastor of the Methodist church officiating, Mrs. Eugene Grantt and Mrs. J. G. Dunn,
accompanied by Mr. M. M. McGowin sand Old Rugged Cross and Asleep in Jesus.
 Interment was made in  Magnolia Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were W. M. Thweatt, C.A. Burke, Wilkes Hooks, Henry Paulk, J. M. Holley and Sam Cole.

Mrs. McCormick dies in Tallassee
   Mrs. Jinnie McCormick, age 84 died at her home in Tallassee Tuesday
afternoon. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Richard Bundy of Tallassee
and two sons, Herbert McCormick, of Elba, and E. D. McCormick, of Milton Fla.
   Funeral services were held at the Fairmont Baptist church in Red Level on Thursday morning
with the Rev. C.O. Stewart officiating. interment was made in the church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gladys Lundy McClelland Funeral Set Saturday
       Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Lundy McClelland, 66, of 38 Eglin Parkway, SE, Fort Walton Beach, will be held on Saturday at Salem Baptist Church near Andalusia, Ala.
   Mrs. McLelland died in Fort Walton Beach hospital in the early morning
hours of Thursday.
  Born in Covington County, Ala., Mrs. McLelland moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1954, but she  retained her membership in Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Clarence Ballard will officiate at the services there, and burial will take place in Salem Cemetery. McLaughlin Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
  Mrs. McLelland is survived by a son William S. McLelland Jr., and five daughters:
Mrs. Betty Thorn and Mrs. Wanda Garnett, of Fort Walton Beach; Mrs. Hilda Roush and Mrs. Jane Rokusek, both of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Peggy Martin of Baltimore, MD.
   Also surviving are two brothers Allen Lundy of Demopolis, Ala., and J.C. Lundy of Andalusia, and two sisters, Mrs. B.B. Padgett of Andalusia, and Mrs. Lundy Coffield of Atlanta, Ga., There are 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
  Active pallbearers at the funeral at the funeral will include Martin Weaver, Wayne Boswell, Stanley Rokusek, Giles Petersen, Harry Bruhn and Johnny Hayslip.
