"W.H. Urquhart Dead
The somewhat sudden death of W.H. Urquhart at his home on East Three Notch Street, last Saturday is greatly regretted. He had been confined to his bed for several days by injuries received in a run-away accident but he
was beginning to sit up and the family and friends were hopeful of his quick recovery, when on Saturday afternoon about 1:30 o"clock, he lay down on the bed and died within a few minutes almost without a struggle. He was about 65 years of age, an old Confederate soldier, a strict member of the Baptist church and also a member of the Mason Fraternity. His remains were laid to rest at My. Gilead Church about 5 miles from Rose Hill on Monday. Deceased leaves three sons and two daughters  and numerous friends to mourn his loss."

William Henry Urquhart 10 Apr 1840--5 Dec 1905. He was my great grandfather. The library provided a negative copy from the New Era which was difficult to transcribe however I feel sure it is accurate.
