Talladega County Alabama
Part of the American History & Genealogy Project

Welcome to Talladega County a part of the American History and Genealogy Project.  It is our goal to provide you with the best information possible when searching for your Talladega County Ancestors.  I am Judy White and I will be your host for Talladega County.

Talladega County was created on 18 Dec. 1832, from land stolen from the Creek Indians. The county seat, also Talladega, is named for a Creek Indian village. Did the village get its name from the beautiful Talladega?
