Obituary of John Wayne Rico, Sr. (1944-2010)

March 8, 1944 – January 21, 2010

Mr. John Wayne Rico, Sr., age 65, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at his Castleberry residence.

Mr. Rico was born in New Orleans, LA and had been a resident of Castleberry since 1992, coming from Pascagoula, MS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked as a pipe fitter at Ingall’s Ship Building for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rico was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Nanette Rico.

He is survived by three sons, Randolph Luther Rico of Pascagoula, MS, Andrew Earl Brown, III of Castleberry, and John Wayne Rico, Jr. of Moss Point, MS; four daughters, Tonya Lynn Brown of Castleberry, Helen Ruth Morris Rico Terry of Riverside, AL, Kelly Christina Rico Benfield of Flomaton, Angela Danielle Rico of Castleberry; one brother, Daniel Thomas Rico of Lucedale, MS; one sister, Patricia Glenn Swiney of Philcambell, AL; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at New Hopewell Cemetery with Rev. Brian Bruley officiating. Craver’s Funeral Home Directing.
