Autauga County Alabama Marriage Records, 1839-1950

This collection of records at FamilySearch consists of marriage records from Autauga County Alabama. They cover the years of 1839-1950. To help users better understand and access these records, I have created this page.

These are called “county marriages” as they were recorded by the county, not the state, and they can be found within the county’s records. As can be found across the South, these records were not always recorded for blacks and when recorded were often done so in a different book.

You will need to be registered with FamilySearch to access these free records. Some of the records are searchable, but not all. It’s important that if you do not get results from the search, but you think your ancestor was married in Autauga County, that you then use the links below to access digital images of the marriage volumes directly.

Loose Marriage Records

Loose marriage records include marriage bonds, licenses and returns. Names are organized in folders which include documents for each letter of the alphabet. Within each folder names are listed alphabetical order. The folder containing the documents for the letter D was filmed backwards and the contents are filmed from Durden, Wilber to Daniel, Willet.
