Amos Robinson, Cherokee, received a reservation in Marshall County, AL in the treaty of 1817. The Robinson/Roberson/Robertson Reservation still shows on area maps today. His daughter Eliza married Andrew Ice, and the family went by wagon train to Rusk Xo. Texas. Eliza died en-route, at Shreveport, LA of cholera. Amos’ son James T. Robinson stayed on the land, which remained in the family until the late 1800s.

I am looking for information on any Parkers or Givens in the Grant area in the late 1800’s my 2nd ggrandfather was Richard Henry Givens he married Ellen Barnes in 1885 and they lived their lives on Blue bend rd. We haven’t been able to find anything on him before he gets married.He also used the last name Parker at different times which is also a mystery thanks in advance.
