Mr. William Melvin Allen Sr., age 71 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Wednesday January 27th, 2010 in a Winter Haven, Florida health care facility. He was a native of Bartow, Florida and a former resident of Gulfport, MS and Mobile, Alabama before moving to Winter Haven 2 years ago. He was a retired Field Rep with the U.S. Department of Labor and was of the Methodist faith. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of the J.H. McKormic Lodge #149. His joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his son, William Allen Jr. of Polk City, Fl, (5) Daughters – Lisa Brazel of Mobile, Ala; Tammy Allen of Mobile; Julie Allen of Winter Haven, Fl; Tina Smith of Lakeland, Fl; April Taylor of Bartow, Fl and 13 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday February 5, 2010 at 2:00PM at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, Alabama with Rev. Rich Reinsch officiating and FLOMATON FUNERAL HOME DIRECTING.
