Rev. John W. Roy was born in Autauga County, Alabama, in 1835, and is now the clerk of the county circuit court. His parents were Joseph and Mary Ann (Lee) Roy, who were natives of Orangeburg district, South Carolina, were there married and in 1818 came to Alabama and settled in Autauga county, which at that time .was almost unbounded wilderness, infested with wild animals and savage red men [Native American History of Autauga County, Alabama], but possessed of a rich soil and a salubrious climate. August 12, 1948 – October 02, 2019 Mr. Clarence Allen Dewberry, age 71, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Evergreen Nursing Home. Mr. Dewberry was a native and life long resident of Conecuh County, Alabama. He worked as a self-employed painter in the construction industry. He enjoyed deer hunting and loved his dogs. Mr. Dewberry attended Oak Grove Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Lloyd Dewberry and Eula Belle Martin Dewberry; and a brother, Raymond Raines. He is survived by one brother, Lawrence Dewberry of Castleberry; four sisters, Jeanette V. Powell of Evergreen,
